Singing
As you can tell, Micah and I really enjoy singing together. Singing has always been so much fun to me..there's great joy in praising the Lord through music. I am thankful to have a family that has always enjoyed music....hopefully, my children will feel the same way about our family. I did not receive the gift of a beautiful singing voice but singing brings such joy..it is a reflection of my heart and worship to our Lord. So, given my lack of talent, but my desire for my children to enjoy worshipping the Lord in this way, Micah has learned the verse, "Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all ye lands." Psalms 100:1.
In church lately, I have noticed that many people do not sing. We can't just blame it on a bad voice, because there are some songs I sing very faintly (like "Away in a Manger" which is SO hard for someone like me to sing). I often pray during our church services for people who don't sing..in hopes that the Lord will bring them joy and they'll begin to make a joyful noise regardless of how bad that "noise" sounds! How's your heart? Are you joyful today? Has the Lord put a song in your heart? I do hope so..just let loose and sing at the top of your lungs...to the Lord.
It's raining today and Micah tends to go a little stir-crazy on days like today..this video is a good reflection of that.

Well, I'm trying to be joyful. However, I'm dealing with a headache, hurt knee, and throbbing toe, so it's kinda hard. Maybe the Lord is bringing these trials to me to teach me to be joyful. Who knows?
I know what you mean about people not singing in church. It does get kind of frustrating. I guess we people with "not so talented" singing voices will just have to sing louder than ever so they can hear and know that they can join the club! :)
