Beijing Botanical Gardens

Jon and I have never been drawn to crowds of people..it's funny that we're living in China where a third of the world's population is, huh? We experienced China tourism on week 1 of being in Beijing and decided to avoid those things for the rest of our time here. So, last Sunday, Avery, Micah and I decided to explore the Botanical Gardens. It was quiet, peaceful (except for the loud crickets), and beautiful. We had a great outing except for a few meltdowns from Micah. It's hard to describe, but when you go from the chaos and busy city streets to the beautiful mountains, countryside and flowers, it is literally like a breath of fresh air (yes, really, the air was much cleaner).

Avery, I'm going to miss our outings! Love you!
